Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Wisdom Motor is ramping up its commitment to zero-emission mobility by adding four hydrogen-powered vehicles to its existing decarbonized fleet, including vans, trucks, and coaches – all powered by Ballard. The range of fuel cell-led models was showcased at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 in Hannover Germany.
Wisdom’s entire fuel cell vehicle fleet is powered by Ballard's technology, exclusively deploying its leading proton-exchange membrane-driven stack expertise in hydrogen-powered product lines, with modules supplied by the Weichai-Ballard joint venture in China.
Entering into a collaborative development agreement with the manufacturer, Ballard is advancing the integration and optimization of its fuel cell electric powertrain designs and control strategies – in-so-doing accelerating the adoption of commercial fuel cell vehicles in bus, coach and heavy-duty truck segments across global markets.

Wisdom's 10-meter hydrogen hooklift truck delivers a range of 320km and a top speed of 100km/h - powered by a 110kW hydrogen fuel cell engine that incorporates Ballard's fuel cell stack technology.
The truck's smart hydrogen management system can function as both a hydrogen mover and a mobile hydrogen refueling truck, integrating hydrogen production, storage and usage.
Wisdom's new generation of hydrogen-powered intercity bus combines stylish design with innovative layout concepts - adding zero-emission operation to make the model an ideal solution for urban transit operators.
The 12-meter bus has a range exceeding 600km and capacity for 66 passengers, while a 200kW fuel cell engine integrating Ballard's stack technology powers the bus.
