Evelyn Lai

Customer Care Director

Evelyn Lai graduated from Simon Fraser University with M.Sc. in Electrochemistry and has been working with Ballard for the past 24 years.

Ms. Lai has held positions in many different parts of the organization, starting off as a research scientist, then moving to Product Development. She was the platform manager for our Cogen stack for 5 years, was Manager for the Manufacturing engineering team, and led a technology transfer project to establish Ballard's first China joint venture with Synergy, which is our first stack assembly factory in China.

In 2018, Ms. Lai moved to the Customer Care department. She is passionate about seeing a technology being used in the end customer's hands and getting feedback from them to continuously improve. She is also passionate about quality with the focus of “Quality means delivering to the agreed customer expectation.”
